Why CNN Sucks.

This excerpt fro GQ’s “The Insufferablity Report” about CNN’s coverage of the DNC is a bit of a rant. But for me it hits it on the head why I can’t stand CNN as a news organization, or even to watch (Except for Fareed Zakaria GPS)

“CNN. At least FOX News has the decency to be aggressively terrible. What is CNN’s purpose in this day and age? This is a network that has done to political news what Skip Bayless has done to sports news. Eighty percent of CNN’s convention coverage consists of a half-dozen fartsniffers sitting in a row offering up bland critiques of speeches you didn’t bother to hear. As far as I can tell, the only purpose CNN serves is to pay the David Gergens of the world enough money to remain comfortably ensconced on the DC cocktail party circuit.”

 

Jon Stewart: Barack Obama It Could Have Been Worse Video.

Jon Stewart of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart presented a fake Obama DNC introduction movie narrated by Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Larry David. “Barack Obama – It Could Have Been Worse,”Damn funny but also a good depiction of the messaging debacle of the Obama administration and its failure in communicating its policies clearly to the public, the sharper (like long knives) GOP messaging it faced and a good reminder of all the context and events this all took place in.
