Analysis of media issues, politics and current events.
Buzzfeed posted an article showing how news wire services like the Associated Press and The conservative The Washington Times wrote stories. And then, how media sources like Fox News’ Huffington-Post-like media property Fox Nation rewrote the news story from that same source with headlines that gave the story a whole new angle. Usually more cynical, if not emotionally provocative or conservatively biased. A couple of the before and after stories are listed below.
The Actual (and already conservative) Washington Times Headline and Story

Fox website “Fox Nation’s” Take
By the way, the use of the word “imposing” to imply hostile takeover and making the gay colors look like a flag. The kind you might stick in the ground after conquering something, nice sub-communicated message, Fox Nation. And putting the headline in the form of a question, so you can’t be called about for defamation or lying if you stated it as a fact, also nice touch.

Look I’m not a liberal or conservative, but I have had a big prblem with fox news over the last couple years . I have been a witness to what they can do to peoples view of the world and how blatentley miss imformed they can make someone. Personally my relationships with people in my family has deteriorated because they are in short brainwashed into an aternative reality. I think what fox news is doing should be considered criminal. These last 15 years of elected republicans should be considered fox neo-conservatives not GOP. This myth that the media is liberaly biased except for fox is delusional. I’m guessing, because I wasn’t around at the time, that the news wasn’t going in the favor of conservatives so they decided to create a place where they couldn’t be told they were wrong and call it news. Thus by 15 years down the road there wouldn’t only be financially 2 Americas but consciously 2 Americas.

Fox News can be more smart like a Fox than actually be news. But it it really Fox’s fault? Or is it that some people has found a ideological blanket they are comfortable with at the expense of true knowledge or news.
