Analysis of media issues, politics and current events.
As just about every cable show did Monday, Jon Stewart came back from his two-week hiatus from hosting The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and sunk his satirical teeth into Mitt Romney’s argument about his involvement with Bain Capital and his reluctance to release his tax forms. A lot of the information is rehashed, but Jon Stewart’s comic bite seems to sharpen the whole argument.
As Al Gore was told by his strategists to watch the parody of him on Saturday Night Live to figure out how he was coming off to the public during the 2000 election, perhaps Mitt Romney should watch this video clip. At the end, Jon Stewart, really does boil down the problem Mitt Romney is having selling some of his current arguments about Bain Capital, taxes and his overall push back line about other people getting “free stuff.” Check out the video clip,”Bain Damage” courtesy of Comedy Central (and an annoying ad from Direct TV).
