Analysis of media issues, politics and current events.
This analysis article about the Apple iPhone by Dan Lyons, caught my attention. In talking about the unveiling of the new iPhone 5 today, I think he nailed the current growth trajectory and market position of the latest iPhone 5. One that tells iPhone fans addicted to that “One more thing” that we’re not going to see radical iPhone changes in the future unless the market dies down.
The excerpt from Lyon’s iPhone5 analysis:
“To use a car analogy, six years ago the iPhone was like a sexy new flagship model from BMW or Porsche. Today it’s a Toyota Camry. Safe, reliable, boring. The car your mom drives. The car that’s so popular that its maker doesn’t dare mess with the formula.”
