Analysis of media issues, politics and current events.
This is not what I meant when I hoped the media would go on the offensive in covering issues. Wrong kind of offensive.
Fox News Business host, Eric Bolling, while commenting on President Obama’s trip to Ireland where Obama had a pint of Guinness at a pub in his ancestral home said the president was “chugging forties” instead of going to Joplin. “Forties” is a clear a reference of 40-ounce beers stereotypically associated with the black community. But in case that racial dig was too subtle, he also ran a clip of President Obama’s limo bouncing along like a pimped-out lowrider.
Eric, did you forget the butt-jiggling ladies and the bling? You might as well go all the way with what you are implying. And am I to expect more of this from my BUSINESS channel? And if so, when Bloomberg News getting into this?
But not to be outdone, Ed Shultz, apparently was ready to take his increasingly intolerant game up a notch, too. On his radio show, he referred to radio host and substitute Fox Host Laura Ingraham as a “Right-wing slut.” Can anyone in class tell me which one of those words is out of line? And whether you want to call it irony or hypocrisy, Shultz is the same guy who made fun of the above Eric Bolling earlier this week what things he said.
